If you are a new patient at our practice we offer an introductory consultation in order to get to know you better. Our consultation will consist of us carrying out a full dental examination using intraoral cameras, a digital scan and a low dose digital X-ray in order for us to determine any dental issues you may currently have. We will also carry out a gum health assessment and an oral cancer screening during this consultation and you will be asked to complete a medical history questionnaire which is completely confidential. As we understand how an individual’s general health can affect their oral health, it is important for us to obtain this information through a questionnaire for our records.
This consultation will also give you the chance to voice any concerns you may have, and discuss anything about your teeth you may like to change cosmetically. Considered to be the most trusted clear aligner system, Invisalign Hertfordshire uses Align Technology’s 3D computer technology in order to create a unique 3D treatment for our patients. At Elegance Dental we offer a Free Virtual Consultation, you can then proceed to book your inhouse smile assessment prior to the Invisalign treatment.
The smile assessment costs £100 and will include one of our dentists carrying out an oral health examination of your teeth by using X-rays, along with taking photos of your teeth and bite and conducting a digital scan of your teeth. No messy impressions. The smile assessment will also be able to show you a simulation of how your teeth will look once you have completed the treatment.
How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign in Herts uses sets of clear removable aligners which gradually shift your teeth into their desired position. The aligners are custom 3D printed just for you and during the treatment you will be required to wear the aligners for at least 20-22 hours per day for best results. Each set is generally worn for around 7 days. At Elegance Dental we utilise Dental Monitoring using a Scanbox and your phone. So your treatment progress is checked on a weekly basis without you having to visit the surgery.
