How does it work?
This treatment involves the use of thin, plastic custom-made aligners, which straighten your teeth over a certain period of time depending on the severity of your case. Before you can receive your aligners, you will have a consultation appointment with us, so we can discuss the treatment with you in depth and take some scans. We will then examine your teeth to see what condition they are in, and take scans using our high-tech intraoral 3D scanners. This is great for getting a better look at your bone structure, as well as increasing your comfort by not having to have more invasive impressions taken of your teeth.
We also use something called the Invisalign Hertfordshire Outcome Simulator, which creates a digital model of your teeth. This allows you to see what your smile could look like at the end of the treatment in 3D, which is really exciting.
Once your consultation is over, and you decide to go ahead with the treatment, we can send your scans off via the internet so there is no delay. Within 3 weeks you will receive your custom-made aligners and can truly begin your journey! You will wear each aligner for around 10-14 days, and then move onto the next one. This causes your teeth to move effectively, but slowly, which means there is less discomfort throughout the process.
