Development into dental misalignment continued and is ongoing. More recently, a new procedure to correct misaligned teeth has been created, and a whole new array of hardware and software has been developed to complement this procedure. The appliance used now resembles a gumshield that can fit over your teeth, unlike braces, which use blocks attached to your teeth. There are no wires or bands necessary, and the “gumshields” are referred to as trays.
Using the power of science and technology
Invisalign Hertfordshire uses the latest technology to take as many as 6,000 pictures per second of the interior of your mouth. These pictures give us the opportunity to very accurately assess your condition and design a treatment plan that suits your particular condition. We are able to send these pictures to the laboratory where technicians can produce the trays necessary to correct your particular condition. Your treatment will be tailor-made, especially for you. Each tray that is created has a slightly different orientation and gradually moves your teeth into the desired location. Each tray must be worn for at least 22 hours per day and may be removed to allow you to eat, brush and floss. The treatment duration depends on your condition and can be anything from 6 to 18 months.
The end result

At the end of the treatment, we at Elegance Dental will ask you to wear an aligner for a number of weeks to allow your teeth to settle.
